I'm a fourth-year Financial and Business Economics student. I build financial models, value real estate, and analyze quantitative data, and I'm looking for a business or finance internship.
Selected Work
- 01
Real Estate Private Equity Internship
Project Destined — 05/2026 – 07/2026
- Underwriting
- NOI
- Cap Rates
- DSCR
- Debt Sizing
- What it was
- A hands-on real estate private equity program where interns underwrite live commercial properties and present investment recommendations.
- What I contributed
- Analyzed market conditions, property performance, and financing — NOI, cap rates, LTV, DSCR, debt sizing, and acquisition financing — then assessed vacancy, rental income, operating expenses, and comparable properties to form a view on each deal.
- What it demonstrates
- I can take raw property data and build it into an investment recommendation, then explain the financing behind it to an audience.
- 02
Credit Card Choice Analysis
York University — 2026
- Statistics
- Hypothesis Testing
- Confidence Intervals
- What it was
- A quantitative study of cross-sectional survey data — 1,603 observations — on how consumers choose between credit cards.
- What I contributed
- Applied descriptive statistics, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing to identify the dominant card choice, assess an outlier, and measure the effect of video presentations and taglines on preference.
- What it demonstrates
- I can work with real data — set up testable hypotheses, deal with anomalies, and back my conclusions with the statistics.
- 03
Insurance Risk Management Simulation
York University — 2025
- Risk Strategy
- Pricing
- Loss Ratio
- Team Lead
- What it was
- A multi-cycle team simulation where a four-person group ran an insurer, setting pricing and risk strategy against evolving market conditions.
- What I contributed
- Tracked loss ratio, combined ratio, and premium growth across cycles, adjusted pricing and risk strategy based on profitability and risk trends, and coordinated the team’s meetings and deadlines.
- What it demonstrates
- I can use performance metrics to make decisions over several cycles, and keep a team on track to carry them out.
About
I study how businesses and markets make financial decisions, and I turn numbers into clear, practical answers.
I'm in my fourth year of Financial and Business Economics at York University. My coursework spans monetary economics, international trade, and business mathematics, and I've applied it through hands-on projects in credit analysis and insurance risk.
Through a real estate private equity internship with Project Destined, I built Excel-based property models covering NOI, cash flow, and debt structure. I'm now seeking a business or finance internship where I can keep building that analytical foundation.
